MANAGING DIRECTOR

JAMIE GARDEN

Managing Director, Jamie Garden, has extensive experience in the property development sector spanning more than 30 years, including in luxury residential, industrial, retail and commercial.

 

Throughout his career Jamie has delivered more than 8,000 apartments, 5,000 villas, 350,000m2 of warehousing, 400,000m2 of commercial office and 150,000m2 of retail space.

 

His passion for property development has seen him deliver projects in Australia, Asia, India, South America and the Middle East - across development, investment, development management and project management.

 

Jamie’s natural aptitude for management, project analysis, design analysis and business negotiation led him to establish his own company, MCD, in Australia in 1995 that grew to over eight offices and a team of more than 150, including specialist staff in Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Bangalore and Kuala Lumpur.

 

After divesting of MCD, Jamie went on to run a successful development company in Oman before returning to Australia to establish Parity Property in 2020. The combination of Parity Property’s experience and expertise, and Jamie’s vision to reframe the retirement living experience, is the foundation for the new development, construction and operations venture.

CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER

DAVID POLLOCK

David Pollock is a commercially astute executive leader with more than 25 years’ experience in roles that encompassed high levels of financial acumen, operational management and stakeholder engagement.

 

He has experience within ASX and LSE (FTSE 500) listed international consultancies, including PwC, working within the technology, property, mining and energy, infrastructure, tourism, government and agriculture industries. David has considerable experience covering all aspects of multi-faceted, businesses and project delivery.

 

He has held Board and Executive leadership roles, been a Partner/Shareholder and a trusted advisor on key projects for national and international clients, and has experience as CEO, CFO, COO and a consultant. His skills set includes:

 

  • Development and execution of growth strategies

  • Commercialisation of technology and innovation

  • Feasibility modelling and business cases

  • Technical financial and commercial advice

HEAD OF CORPORATE AFFAIRS

BARTON GREEN

Barton Green is one of Queensland’s most experienced communications, marketing and government relations specialists, having spent more than 40 years as a journalist and communications consultant to the public and private sectors, including 35 years’ experience working in and around politics.

 

He has worked on some of Queensland’s largest and most challenging projects, including multi-billion-dollar projects:

  • West Village, West End for Sekisui House (stakeholder engagement and government relations)

  • Traveston Crossing and Wyaralong dams for Qld Water Infrastructure (Environmental Impact Statement stakeholder engagement)

  • The Spit Masterplan, Gold Coast for the Department of State Development (stakeholder engagement)

  • Airportlink for BrisConnections (reputation and stakeholder management)

  • Waterfront Brisbane for Dexus (stakeholder engagement and government relations)

 

He has provided strategic government advisory services to the development and infrastructure industries, local governments, the resources sector and environmental technology industry over more than 25 years.

 

In the property sector, Barton has provided strategic planning, stakeholder engagement and government relations consulting services to leading Australian developers, including Dexus, Multiplex, lendlease, Mirvac, ISPT, Dennis Family Corporation, Consolidated Properties, Stockland, Australian Unity and Sekisui House.

HEAD OF SITE ACQUISITION

BOB HAND

Bob Hand is an innovator and entrepreneur who has been at the forefront of Australia’s real estate development industry for more than forty years. He has a vast professional network and unmatched industry knowledge.

 

Bob spent over 20 years at the helm of Oliver Hume Group, leading strategic development and growth and helping to build what became Australia’s premier project marketing company.

 

In 2000, Bob started developing properties instead of selling them. He was a founding director of Villawood Properties which became one of Australia’s largest privately-owned residential land developers, before teaming up with a Melbourne Family Office to develop projects along the east coast of Australia.

 

Across his extensive experience, Bob has been involved in the sales and marketing of more than 70,000 residential housing lots throughout Australia and directly involved in the development of more than 3,000 residential properties with a value of $500,000,000.

JAMES HAND

James Hand is a visionary in the property industry and has worked in almost every facet of real estate.

 

With a background in management, underscored by a passion for marketing, technology and innovation, James thrives by continually pushing the boundaries of possibility. He takes a direct approach to project management and sources the most creative outcomes to sales and marketing challenges.

 

Part of a long-standing family of property developers and real estate business owners, he blends traditional values with a focus on achieving commercial objectives.

CONSTRUCTION DIRECTOR

CRAIG SOUTHWARD

Craig Southward is a seasoned capital works executive with deep international experience across the project delivery lifecycle.

 

An accomplished commercial lead, Craig has worked across all traditional contract forms, including build only, design and construct, Public Private Partnerships and alliance. Craig coaches senior teams to success and ensures a relentless focus on high-value improvement levers, proactive risk mitigation and commercial and legal agility in contract negotiations to ensure win-win outcomes

 

Craig has helped many multi-national organisations significantly reduce costs and compress timelines across a range of multi-billion-dollar projects - including rail infrastructure, manufacturing plants and construction. He has been a Board member of several construction alliances and Managing Director of numerous international companies.
